Help for Hailey Rae

Donation protected
Hailey Rae was born on June 3rd, 2014 at Mercy Fort Smith in Arkansas. Soon after birth she was having trouble breathing and was airlifted to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock. She was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. After one day of being on the ventilator and medications Hailey was no longer responding to the treatment plan. On June 6th she was started on ECMO which is heart/lung bypass machine to give her heart and lungs rest. We were told that this was her last option. After 6 days of ECMO she was successfully taken off and was only on ventilator support. Finally a week later she was taken off the ventilator and was breathing on her own! She has come a long way that includes learning how to bottle feed. After 27 days in the NICU she was discharged home! Our little fighter has come such a far way. She is truly a miracle and exceeded the expectations of all the doctors who cared for her.

As you can imagine the medical care Hailey recieved is very expensive. There is simply no way we can afford the amount we owe without a little help. We set our goal for this page high because after paying on Hailey's medical expenses, we would like to make a donation to the Ronald McDonald House. We were fortunate enough to stay there for 22 days and focus on Hailey's recovery and not where we are staying night to night. What they do there is simply amazing and could help more families with more resources.
We would like to thank our friends and families for the love and support showed to us during this trying time. Hailey is home and is thriving and can't wait to meet everyone!
