Relocating for the career of my dreams

Donation protected
Hey all! As many of you may know, I've had a very rough year. Beginning with an ill conceived attempt to move with my ex to MT, followed by our break up, and a slow hard recovery through winter.

Since December, the company I plowed snow for withheld my wages and eventually shorted me a couple thousand dollars... my labor contracts stiffed me for a couple thousand more in pay while they strung me along for months... And finally the most recent 5k worth of damage to my cab at the hands of thieves... In toll: I've ultimately lost everything but my sanity. After losing my cabbing job shortly after they drained my bank account and left me with $67 to my name and no income... I found myself faced with a whole new world of potential.

In total I've lost nearly $10k since turning 26 in February. It hadn't stopped me one bit.

If it weren't for the support of a couple great friends, I'd have been homeless a month ago. But, even though I've bled money at every turn, I've managed to keep my head above water and get here today.

I've been offered a career of my dreams, salaried with benefits, organizing political campaigns for the national organization Grassroots Campaigns, starting in the most perfect of all places, Boulder Colorado.

To be frank, I'm overwhelmed and overjoyed at this opportunity.

I've made it this far through perseverance and dedication. They're was no luck, only positive attitude and relentless dedication, and I have to say, I wouldn't have it any other way.

With an offer to organize with one of the biggest and best campaign houses in the nation, against fracking for gas of all issues, in the beauty of Boulder Colorado... clearly the universe speaks.

However. Boulder is one expensive city. On average a one bedroom apt costs 900$ a month plus utilities. On an organizers salary of $24k a year, I won't have the ability to make this move alone. While I'm confident I can sustain myself once there, (though not by much) on what is truly so little I have left, I have come to a crossroads regarding how I'll come up with the several thousand dollars I will need to make this move.

So here I am. Those of you that know me know that there is no better place for me than in the mountains, organizing volunteers to protect our environment. I've accomplished so much, but as is only fitting, I need my community to get me the last little bit of the way there.

Please, give what you can, and in return, I promise customised, personalized thank you's to each one of you. And I promise that I will bring my intense passion and commitment to this job, and not only continue to bring victories to these campaigns, but also find my own peace again through the validation of this small victory over personal strife and hard luck.

My goal is $2500 in two weeks.

I'm counting on all of you to help me do what I do.

That $2500 will accomplish the following:

$2000- ($900) rent and ($900)deposit including ($200) pet deposit +$40 app fee + $160 internet/utilities - $2200 down payment for studio apt in Boulder.

$300 - for basic living expenses through my first paycheck.

Thank you all.
