<div>In the heart of Mexico, deep in the jungle, lives a couple whose hearts are as vast as the wilderness around them. Pat and his wife Susan spend seven months of every year dedicated to a mission many would shy away from: rescuing dogs and puppies in desperate need.

<div>Pat ventures into the jungle, often facing rough terrain and unpredictable conditions, to find abandoned or injured dogs. Each dog he rescues carries a story of hardship, and each requires medical care, rehabilitation, and a safe journey back to Canada. Susan stands by his side, nurturing these animals, providing love, training, and preparing them for their new lives.

<div>The cost of saving each dog is significant—around $1,000 for medication, vet bills, and transport. But Pat and Susan never let the price deter them. Their motivation is simple yet profound: to give these dogs a second chance at life, to see them thrive in loving homes.

<div>Now, they need our help. We’re raising funds to provide dog food, beds, kennels, crates, vet care, and transit fees so they can continue this selfless work. Every dollar brings them closer to rescuing another dog, to giving another puppy the life they deserve.

<div>Hi, I’m Pat Richardson, the founder of Angels of the Jungle, a rescue dedicated to saving the forgotten and feral dogs living dangerous lives in the jungles of Mexico.

<div>For over ten years, I’ve witnessed heartbreaking suffering firsthand. Each year, for seven months, I live in Manzanilla, Mexico, where four years ago I discovered a heartbreaking reality: a dumping ground for pregnant dogs and strays right on the edge of the jungle. Scores of dogs, including tiny puppies, were left to fend for themselves in perilous conditions.

<div>The jungle is no safe home—it’s a battlefield. These dogs battle fleas, wood ticks, scorpions, jaguars, and alligators. But worse than the wild threats are the humans who enter the jungle to shoot them for sport. It’s gut-wrenching to find one of these innocent souls I’ve bonded with injured or dead.

<div>When I first arrived, I quickly realized feeding these dogs was a monumental challenge. Over 30 wild pigs fought for the same food. Thanks to a quick-thinking solution, I built a feeding ramp that gave the dogs a fighting chance.

<div>Gaining the dogs’ trust to save them? That’s been the hardest part. I thought I’d rescue them all quickly—but feral dogs are cunning survivors. Over three years, I’ve rescued 15 dogs—nursed them back to health, and found loving homes in Canada.

<div>This November 1st, I’m back with a live trap and my mission is urgent: capture the remaining jungle pack before more litters are born, before more lives are lost. This pack currently includes seven adults and three puppies, and without swift action, many more will suffer.
