Kanekiki needs your help

Aloha and thank you for taking interest in this amazing cause. As you may know, areas of the southeast side of the Big Island have been totally devastated by the Kilauea lava flow. It is difficult to fathom lava miles wide coating your entire town, your home and everything that is comfortable in your life yet that is exactly what is happening to our friends and family on the Big Island at this very moment. The flow has covered Kapoho Bay, Champagne Ponds, Green Lake Mountain, '4 corners', and is currently traveling along Railroad Ave. in the direction of Kanekiki Farm. Kanekiki Community Farm has been a home, sanctuary and safe haven to myself and so many others over the past 8 years. The tropical fruit oasis spans nearly 20 acres and is home to hundreds of varieties of tropical fruit with simple huts to house visitors. Most importantly though, it is home to the most knowledgable and caring owners who have dedicated their lives to teaching compassion, understanding, and total health. On top of the unimaginable loss of their entire town, and the fate of their home, Kanekiki in Pele's hands; They are grappling with financial loss as well. The money raised will go towards the owners' storage costs, living expenses during their displacement, and other expenses associated with rebuilding their lives. If you'd like to learn more about Bill, Vicki, and Bobbi and their work at Kanekiki please visit our website here . If you have ever had the pleasure of visiting Kanekiki or meeting any of the owners then you will know that there is nothing could truly repay them for what they've done for us. Please consider a small donation as a start. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
