Kathy's family and friends are uniting to help raise money to help her with her ongoing battle against cancer. Please show your support!
Kathy was diagnosed with breast cancer in December of 2012. She underwent chemotherapy in early 2013. In June of this year she was diagnosed with a fractured vertebrae due to a tumor in her spine (and yet she was still going in to work every day despite the pain because that is how she rolls)
Being a person who has always favoured natural treatments and remedies and after much research Kathy has decided that she would like to go to an 'alternative' hospital in addition to her traditional treaments but sadly this is not covered by her insurance. In Canada only chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation are covered. As well as a shot that she gets every 3 months. (The shot costs 1,500!) But treatments that are used in some of the best hospitals in europe are not covered. So she must raise the funds herself. She will still be pursuing some tradional methods (radiation and chemotherapy) but these methods unfortunately ravage the body so she must do everything she can to build her body back up which means suppliments, juicing and a largely raw and organic diet. That's right, no more cheesecake. Please help support her decision by donating or offering words of encouragement.
