2019 Minneapolis Celebration Pow Wow

The Minneapolis Thanksgiving Celebration Pow Wow Committee is planning to host the pow wow on November 28 - 30, 2019, at the Minneapolis American Indian Center. This celebration helps to provide a safe, accessible, and sober gathering for our urban Native community to come together during a time that historically can be difficult for us while we celebrate and give thanks for our community and traditional ways.

Your donation can ensure that the Minneapolis Thanksgiving Celebration Pow Wow happens this year and community has a place to gather and feast during this time of year. Because so many of our children and community members living in the area experience a disconnect from their tribal homes or reservations, we want to ensure that there is opportunity to be grounded in culture and tradition.

A previous committee had abolished entrance fees to ensure that the pow wow was feasible and accessible for all to enjoy. We are committed to providing free admission so that all can attend.

This gathering allows us to continue traditions of drumming, singing, and dancing together as a community where all are welcome.
