I am trying to get to my son. He had a horrible car accident and has severe head trauma. He is in the Navy, and based in Hawaii. I can not afford to miss work to go, but my son keeps asking for me. I have someone willing to put my flight on their CC but they need the money right back, as they rely on this card for their own emergancies/survival. One of the worst things a parent can ever experience is getting "The Call" and to not know if your child will survive, but to be so far away from your child when they need you the most, is heartwrenching, and such a helpless feeling. Any amount of funds raised will help. My job is willing to let me take the time off, but my bills will not get paid without help.My bills are minimal, but rent, elect. car ins, phone, and food add up quick. I have made arrangements to stay with my sons friend, and I also have transportation when I get there. There was no drugs or alcohol involved in this accident, just a new driver, excited about his very 1st car. He had the car less than a week.
