Friends in Need

Let’s turn "Thanksgiving" in to a “Friendsgiving” for Chris and Audrey Starling.

You may or may not know that Chris suffered a major heart attack last month
resulting in open heart surgery. This major surgery is difficult in its’ own, but
now add to the fact that this happened while Chris and Audrey were almost
600 miles from home makes it even harder.  Accommodations were arranged for
Audrey near the hospital so she could visit Chris everyday. Once discharged,
Chris was required to stay near the hospital for an additional two weeks.
Once he is allowed to travel back home, it is going to be a very long and expensive
road to recovery. That’s where their friends (or as the camping friends call
them “framily” - friends are the family we choose) come into the picture. All their
lives both Chris and Audrey gave their hearts and souls to other people including a
large camping club, their community, local Legion,  Moose and Elks lodges.

We're hoping to come together and give back to them and help them out with the
mounting bills, prescriptions, etc. that they will be faced with once they get back home.
They both are very proud and humble people and are not aware of this fundraiser.  
Asking for help is not something that they do, giving is more their style.  
Any donation big or small will help our friends "framily" ease some of the burden
of medical expenses that are out of reach to them.
