Our little 6 year old Maltese "Cubby" is in need of spinal surgery. As of today (7/5/14) he is not eating, is hunched over and has lost almost 2 pounds in the last week (he only weighs 10lbs).
Our Vet has indicated the need for X-rays,a CT scan and ultimately C5 spinal surgery for nerve damage repair. The cost for the surgery is $3500.00 with additional expenses for the X-rays and CT scan to determine the exact location of the injury. The original cost was $5000.00 but we have managed to get the surgery center down to $3500.00 With only one salary coming in right now since I have been out of work for the last 2 1/2 years now we can not afford to cover the costs of the needed surgery. We have already spent close to 1 thousand dollars in the last week and have run out of options to help our little boy get better.
We greatly appreciate anything you can donate to assist us in making sure he has a long and healthy life. He was a rescue and had been abandoned as a puppy. He deserves to have a good life. Thank you all so much.
