Some of you may know that Amy has been the entertainment director at the Palm Cabaret for 2 seasons. This is, and was, a whole new area of management and work for her than what she has done before. Part of what this role entails is paying the artist and performers on a nightly basis from the ticket sales collected through the box office and advanced tickets sales every day.
Last week Amy was on the RSVP Cruise in the Caribbean, and as usual a hit. On the cruise she brought her joy and passion to over 2200 gay men and women. Sunday night she returned to Puerto Vallarta and upon returning to the Palm Cabaret and Bar Monday morning she discovered that during the night the safe in the Palm had been torn from the wall and stolen. The safe did not only include Amy's money as the Entertainment Director of the , but also ALL future ticket sales for all artists for the rest of the season.
All in all approximately $26,000.00 of future ticket sales was gone as was $2,000.00 of one entertainers personal money AND Amy's personal money as the entertainment director.
If you know Amy, you know she is someone who gives back to our community enormously. She not only does fundraisers for various organizations that all in all have raised over $15,000 000.00 for different communities
At this time Amy can use our support in this traumatic situation. Currently she only hopes to recoup the money that was for advanced ticket sales for other entertainers, however, I am hoping that we can create a bigger game and show her how much she means to us and the joy she has brought to our lives and our communities.
Personally I recently benefited from a Go-Fund-Me account in a time of crisis after Hurricane Harvey.
To kick the fund off Concierge Travel is putting $1,000.00 to show our support and LOVE.
