Latona Horne Battles Leukemia

Latona was hospitalized on March 10, 2014 with severe abdominal pain and on March 13, 2014, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Although she has completed 2 rounds of chemotherapy, she remains hospitalized undergoing another round of chemo treatment and eventually, candidacy for bone marrow transplant.
Latona is a Special Education teacher at T. M. Peirce Elementary School in Philadelphia. She has two teenage sons and a loving fiancé. She always puts other's needs before her own and is always taking care of everyone besides herself.
Latona is a warrior who continues to fight this cancer, but it is an intensive, extensive and expensive fight. Paid leave has been exhausted adding a financial toll to an already difficult struggle
