Chemo Ninja Cancer Warrior needs help

Hi, my name is Donna. In 1987 thru 1989, I fought and beat Stage IV Malignant Melanoma. Doctors told me I would not live to see my 30th birthday, and if I did I would never be able to have children because of the hormonal risks. Today I am 55 years old, and my son is 22. So we are living proof that cancer can be cured.
But it looks like I am a testament to the need to use sunscreen, because for the last year I have been fighting Stage IV Squamous Cell Carcinoma, another deadly form of skin cancer. My cancer started last year in my colon. By the time I was diagnosed, the cancer had spread to the upper and lower lymph nodes of the groin. Starting in September 2013, I went through 35 radiation treatments and week-long constant drip chemotherapy during the 2nd and 5th weeks of treatments.
One day in November, I started having such acute chest pains that I thought I was having a heart attack and was rushed to the ER in an ambulance. When the doctors did a scan to rule out pulmonary blood clots, 2 large suspicious "nodes" were spotted in my lung. These were biopsied but the results came back negative. However, they continued to grow. Then a new "node" was spotted in my liver.
Long story short, by the time these were identified as cancerous tumors, I had two tumors the size of marbles in my lung, one the size of a golf ball and one the size of a softball in my liver. The next stop for this type of cancer, if it continues to spread, is the brain. Needless to say, my oncologist and I are throwing EVERYTHING we have at this to make sure it is stamped out and does not spread.
I have an excellent support system of 100's of friends who pray for me and help keep my spirits up with their love and support. My faith, attitude, hope, and optimism are extremely high, and I know that is 90% of the battle when fighting cancer. God is in charge here and I accept that.
We tried to forestall this day as long as possible, but it has come to the point where my husband and I need financial help. Even with a good insurance policy, I totaled up the amount spent on copays, deductibles, and drugs to date and added to the outstanding bills, the total is already almost $20,000. And I still need at least 3 more months of treatments as well as years of follow up testing to insure once the cancer is gone, it stays gone!
We are truly grateful for any and all help. And I will pray for everyone who leaves a message on my site, whether you donate or not. As I also ask you to pray for me. Thank you and God bless!
