It's getting to be that time where we have a few handfulls of weeks left before Alok and I's Son is born... WOW!
Here is the deal: we ask that INSTEAD of gifting new baby things to Baby, Alok and I (if you were planning too, that is) we would prefer a donation to this Fund so that Mama Jade and Baby Boy can have a WHOLE MONTH OFF after he arrives. Jade has been self employed for over 10 years and does not have any sort of maternity leave or savings to take time off. She is SUPER grateful that she has such AMAZING clients and a phenomenal & flexible schedule so that when she does return to work, she and Alok can take turns caring for Baby Boy while the other parent works. Plus there is a back office where baby can have a crib and hang while mama does massages and photo shoots at The Movement Shala, Jade and Alok's Studio!! Yay!

There will be an abundance alter where people can donate dollars instead of Baby Gifts for Mama and Baby to have the month off after he arrives. It will be a night of holding ceremony together to honor this brand new Spirit in my belly with live music from my ALL TIME favorite African-Influenced musicians in Tucson. The Life Celebration will begin with Martin Klabunde and Wing Man Law opening the 4 directions and leading us gently into some trance dance with their west and east African musical fusion. That glorious music will seamlessly then turn right over to Planet Djembe for the Chakras to RISE and energy to FLOW! Baba Marimba will follow and play some EPIC dance party MUSIC and we will end the night with Sacred Congolese Music and Dance led by Swami and His Crew of Fantastic N'Goma drummers while the Ancestors guide us thru the final dance ceremony of the night. There will be delicious food from Cafe Desta (Ethiopian Amazingness) and delightful drinks provided.
