Most of you know our good friend has been fighting the fight of her life against lung cancer. It has been challenging. The chemo is wearing on her and her energy is weakening. Leslie has worked throughout her chemo, and although it has not diminished her tumor, somehow it has shifted enough that she is going in for surgery to have it removed. This is the plan.
UPDATE: Surgery has been scheduled for July 18th. As Leslie hurries up to wait for surgery, she feels the weight of impending medical bills and not being able to work for at least 6-8 WEEKS after surgery and does not have paid time off or sick leave.
Simply put $8000/year out of pocket plus about $8000/year minimum for copays in addition to percentage of what is usual and customary.
