Com o esforço e vontade de muitas entidades (Câmara Municipal de Guimarães, Associações e povo anónimo) está praticamente concluído o restauro arquitetónico da Capela de Nossa Senhora da Conceição, em Guimarães, que vai permitir que toda a arte existente no seu interior não mais sofra o desgaste do tempo.
É dever de consciência prosseguir com os trabalhos, na COMPONENTE ARTÍSTICA (azulejos, talha, tetos, órgão) devolvendo assim à plena fruição pública a totalidade deste conjunto edificado, do qual é indissociável um património intangível e de grande significado para as gentes de Guimarães: a Romaria a Nossa Senhora da Conceição e as Festas Nicolinas.
Datam do séc. XVII as celebrações dos estudantes à Imaculada Conceição. Ainda hoje os Nicolinos, ao “toque da Novena” se dirigem a esta Capela para a celebração deste ato religioso.
Com esta campanha pretende-se recuperar o conjunto de azulejos existentes, cuja beleza não é demais realçar.
Os doadores terão o seu nome inscrito em local próprio no interior da Capela
The chapel of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, located in Guimarães, Portugal, is in the process of recovery.
The exterior of the chapel has already been recovered with the help of
various institutions of the city, including the City Council.
It is time to also recover the interior of the chapel. The tiles are one of the biggest concerns we have, because although they
are beautiful, they are very degraded and in previous "arrangements"
in the chapel, they were placed disorderly and without care.
We already have a budget for your requalification, which is this 60.000 €. It is a very high value, so we decided to try to obtain through crowd
funding the necessary funding for this work.
We know that there are far more urgent and humanitarian causes, but we also think that we need to preserve all our history and art, and if we all contribute, however little, we can certainly access all causes.
We thank you all, for minding and helping us in this cause.
