I kept getting asked about a Go-Fund Me Page so here it is!
Blaine wants to thru-hike the AZT when he is older, the only thing is, that the likelihood of Blaine making it to adulthood isn't very high. So, I am going to carry him on my back for the length of the Arizona Trail. The trail is 800 miles of it and I am going to help him make his thru-hiker dreams come true. Blaine has Epilepsy, Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood and a variety of other ailments. We love hiking and living life to the fullest.
This isn’t your average hike. This hike, once completed will break three records: Blaine will be the youngest thru hiker to finish the trail. Blaine will be the first medically fragile person to complete the trial and I will be the first person to carry another person across the AZT.
Where did this big price come from? Thru hiking can get costly. Bills don't go away just because you are living on a hiking trail. I won’t have an income when we are on trail. We have to travel around the state to train quite a bit. We have to pay to ship a large amount of resupply boxes around Arizona. We also have to fill those boxes up with supplies and food. I did the math and I think that is roughly what the cost would come to.
