Team Tara

My oldest daughter, Tara, was diagnosed with breast cancer in May. It has been a whirlwind for her and her family since the diagnosis. She has had 2 surgeries, countless doctor appointments and physical therapies, is now undergoing chemotherapy, with radiation to follow. She is the strongest woman I know. Your donation will allow her to relax about having the financial loss of income until she returns to work in January.  She, with Patrick's support, has continued to care for their two boys, Cameron and James, with gentleness and strength, taking one day at a time, and focusing on all her blessings, rather than her challenges. Patrick's parents, Bev and J.C., have supported her by coming out and staying for a month to help with whatever was asked of them to do, and more.  Her dad, siblings and I were able to go out this summer and help, but it's challenging helping from across the country. We have given as much support as we can, in every way that we can, and will continue to do so. But, cancer is a draining disease - draining physically, mentally, and financially. Cancer is an unpredictable disease, that adds stress to an already stressful situation . Yesterday, as I realized it was October 1st, breast cancer awareness month, the idea came to me that perhaps I could show how much love and support she has, from so many people,  by starting a GoFundMe account.  Her sisters, Heather and Holly, and I decided to create Team Tara.
