Azia was chosen as one of the dancers for the CANADIAN NATIONAL DANCE TEAM to represent CANADA at the WORLD DANCE CHAMPIONS in Prague, Czech Republic this coming fall. This is where the best dancers from around the World will be vying for the World Championships Title! Canadian dancers are known to be some of the best in the World with many World Titles to our credit.
Dance in Canada is not recognized as a Sporting Event, even though many of these dancers train up to 7 days per week, they are as flexible as a gymnast, as graceful as figure skaters and as dedicated as an Olympic athlete. Dancers of this caliber have trained for hours and hours and will represent our Country with pride at the World Level.
Each dancer is required to obtain their own sponsors as we have been unsuccessful obtaining a major sponsor or any Government Support.
On Sunday August 17, 2014 Azia and Kruz (her supportive brother) will be running a 5km race "Dundas Cactus". Any amount that you could donate to help sponsor Azia to pursue this dream and compete at this level would be VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!
