Sri Lanka Economic Crisis Relief

This fundraiser is organised by the Sri Lankan Students Association of Macquarie University to help people in need due to the current economic crisis in Sri Lanka.

 

Sri Lanka is experiencing an unprecedented economic collapse, power cuts, fuel outages, hospitals running out of medicine and skyrocketing prices, leading to a state of emergency. It has become difficult for the people of Sri Lanka to afford basic necessities, including food and medicine. All proceeds of this fundraiser will go directly to the Greater Giving charity in Sri Lanka.

 

Greater Giving is a nonprofit initiative focused on supporting low-income communities across Sri Lanka to alleviate poverty, achieve social justice, and save lives. The donations collected will be used to provide dry ration boxes for families in need all around Sri Lankan. The boxes will include,

• Salmon tin
  
• Curry powder and chilli powder
  
• Salt
  
• Soya
