My name is Marisela Ortega Santana.
I have created this Gofundme to help my sister, Suhail Madriz Santana. She is 48 years old, Venezuelan and currently resides in Maracay, Aragua. She is the mother of two children. She is seriously ill. 17 years ago she faced her first battle with her health, defeating a Uterine Cervical Cancer. When she thought that that fight had ended, her eldest daughter Yennifer Agraz was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and had to receive treatment in the hospital for many months. My sister had to accompany my niece (her daughter) throughout her illness but it was a battle she could not win. My niece unfortunately passed away in 2011.
In 2012, my sister's husband was murdered by a thief trying to steal his car who stabbed him through the heart with a knife.
My sister has suffered a lot. Many things have happened to her and she has always managed to persevere.
She currently suffers from a consequence of radiotherapy resulting invKIDNEY FAILURE STAGE 5 TO OBSTRUCTIVE NEPHROPATHY AND CHRONIC ANEMIA.
In the month of May, she suffered a fracture of the femur when trying to stand up. This has made her movement impossible, causing greater inability to be treated. Because of her leg injury, she cannot receive dialysis. As a consequence, she is facing serious respiratory problems, since she could not and her lungs are filling with fluid. The oxygen is not going to her brain efficiently. Her left leg is badly swollen.
She is in intensive care at the Central Hospital of Maracay-Venezuela at the moment, battling for her life. She needs an urgent respirator. Due to the economic situation in Venezuela, the public hospitals are out of supply. I want my sister to continue living and for that it is necessary that she is admitted to a Private Clinic to give her better care. We unfortunately do not have the necessary resources to achieve it. Doctors do everything humanly possible to stabilize her but the deficit of mechanical ventilators given the situation facing the country is clearly impossible. Doctors indicate that she must be connected to said machine in order to generate a real possibility of life. We have exhausted all possible avenues. This is the last option that we have and to appeal to the goodwill of many so that she can receive the care and attention necessary to guarantee her a chance at life. Mi nombre es Marisela Ortega Santana he creado este Gofundme para ayudar a mi hermana, Suhail Madriz Santana, de 48 años de edad, Venezolana, quien actualmente reside en Maracay, Aragua madre de dos hijos, se encuentra en un grave estado de salud.
Hace 17 años enfrentó su primera batalla con la Salud venciendo un Cáncer de Cuello Uterino, cuando pensó que toda su lucha habia terminado su hija mayor Yennifer Agraz fue diagnosticada con una Leucemia Linfoblastica Aguda , teniendo que recibir su tratamiento en el Hospital por muchos meses, mi hermana tuvo que acompañar a mi sobrina durante toda su enfermedad la cual no logro superar.
Mi sobrina lamentablemente fallecio en el año 2011.
En el 2012 su esposo fue asesinado para robarle su auto de una puñañada en el corazón.
Mi hermana ha sufrido mucho le han pasado muchas cosas y ha sabido salir de todas ellas siempre.
Actualmente padece de una consecuencia de la radioterapia presentando INSUFICIENCIA RENAL ESTADIO 5 A NEFROPATÍA OBSTRUCTIVA Y ANEMIA CRÓNICA.
En el mes de mayo presento fractura del Fémur al intentar ponerse de pie por su cuenta, al sentirse un poco mejor y con fuerzas, esto ha imposibilitado su desplazamiento, causando mayor incapacidad de ser atendida,.
Hoy esta enfrentando problemas respiratorios graves, ya que no ha pudo recibir su diálisis, llenándose de liquido los pulmones, su pierna izquierda muestra las secuelas de esta situación que enfrenta,
Esta en terapia intensiva en el Hospital Central de Maracay-venezuela en estos momentos batallando por su vida necesita un respirador urgente , debido a la situacion economica en Venezuela los Hospitales publicos se encuentran desabastecidos , yo deseo que mi hermana siga viviendo y para eso es necesario que sea internada en una Clínica Privada para darle una mejor atencion , nosotros desafortunadamente no contamos con los recursos necesarios para lograrlo.
Los médicos hacen lo humanamemte posible por estabilizarla, pero el déficit de Respiradores mecánicos dada la situación que enfrenta el país resulta netamente imposible.
Los médicos indican que debe ser conectado a dicha máquina para poder generar una posibilidad de vida.
Hemos agotamos todas las vías posibles, siendo esta la última opción que tenemos que solicitar y acudir a la buena voluntad de muchos para que ella pueda recibir los cuidados y la atención necesaria para asi poder garantizarle una oportunidad de vida.
