<div>Papaluis tiene 88 años y vive en San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Es esposo, papá, abuelo, bisabuelo, tío y amigo de muchos. Quienes lo conocen saben que es un hombre carismático, bromista, amante de la vida y con una calidez humana que deja huella. Siempre ha sido esa persona que te recibe con una sonrisa, un abrazo y una historia que contar.

<div>Hace unos meses comenzó con inflamación severa en las piernas y cansancio, lo que nos llevó a buscar ayuda médica. Tras muchos exámenes, fue diagnosticado con mielodisplasia, una enfermedad que destruye los glóbulos rojos al atacar la médula ósea, provocando una anemia severa entre otras complicaciones.

<div>Después de meses de tratamiento, transfusiones sanguíneas continuas y hospitalizaciones, ha desarrollado complicaciones derivadas de su condicion médica, que ahora requieren múltiples estudios, exámenes adicionales y un seguimiento médico permanente.

<div>Para entender mejor qué está pasando y cómo tratarlo, necesita permanecer hospitalizado para realizar una nueva serie de exámenes y atender las complicaciones actuales.
</div>

<div>Hi, I’m Daniela, granddaughter of Luis Alberto Mestayer, though to us he’ll always be Papaluis, and to his lifelong friends, Chepeleón.

<div>Papaluis is 88 years old and lives in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. He’s a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. Those who know him describe him as a warm, charismatic man, full of humor and love for history, always ready with a smile, a hug, and a story to share.

<div>A few months ago, he began experiencing severe leg swelling and fatigue, which led us to seek medical help. After extensive testing, he was diagnosed with myelodysplasia, a condition that destroys red blood cells by attacking the bone marrow, causing severe anemia.
</div>

</div>
<div>After months of treatment, continuous blood transfusions, and hospital stays, he has now developed complications related to the treatment that require multiple new tests and ongoing medical care.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To better understand what’s happening and how to treat it, he needs to remain hospitalized for a new round of exams and to address the current complications.
</div>

</div>
<div>We’re reaching out for your support and solidarity to help provide Papaluis with the care and medical attention he needs and deserves. We want to give him the best care possible and surround him with the love and support he has always given to others.
