Ayudemos a Nayeli a levantarse
We've been trying to direct deposit the funds to Nayeli but there is no way to deposit them directly to a Mexican bank account.
Desiree Ghandour-Fawaz, my co-organizer, will be withdrawing the funds once they're available and transferred to Nayeli. We'll upload pictures once we receive the funds and have a confirmation for the transfer to Nayeli's bank account.
We'll also ask our friend Maru Sánchez to shoot another video of Nayeli confirming she finally received the money.

LA HISTORIA DE NAYELI FLORES
El 19 de Septiembre un Terremoto de magnitud de 7.1 sacudió a la Ciudad de México.
Nayeli Flores se encontraba de camino a casa de vuelta del trabajo cuando comenzó a temblar.
En lo primero que pensó fue en sus hijos, Julián y Ximena, quienes estaban en su departamento ubicado en Calzada de Tlalpan y Taxqueña.
El tráfico se detuvo y Nayeli salió corriendo sin parar entre los carros hasta llegar al multifamilar donde vivía, y se confrontó con su peor miedo: En lugar del edificio donde ella vivía con sus dos niños solo había polvo.
Una brigada de rescatistas estuvo buscando frenéticamente entre los escombros a Julián (11) y Ximena (6) durante horas.
Finalmente los encontraron. Estaban abrazados, en el triángulo de la vida, donde su mamá les había dicho que se refugiaran en caso de sismo. Ambos estaban muertos.
Ese día esta mamá no solo perdió a sus dos únicos hijos. Se quedó sin casa, sin pertenencias, sin nada.

Lo compartí y mi amiga Maru Sánchez resultó ser amiga de la familia y les está ayudando en estos momentos.
Les ofrecí hacer una campaña para recaudar fondos y entregárselos directamente por transferencia bancaria directa en su totalidad a Nayeli Flores Reyes, víctima del terremoto. Los fondos serán usados por ella para que encuentre un lugar dónde vivir y para comprar necesidades básicas.

THE STORY OF NAYELI FLORES
On September 19, an earthquake of magnitude 7.1 shook Mexico City.
Nayeli Flores was on her way home from work when the earthquake hit.
The first thing that came to her mind was her children, Julián and Ximena, who were in their apartment located in Calzada de Tlalpan and Taxqueña.
The traffic stopped and Nayeli ran as fast as she could among the cars until she reached the apartment complex where she lived and was confronted with her worst fear: Instead of the building where she lived with her two children only dust was left.
A brigade of rescuers frantically searched under the rubble for Julian (11) and Ximena (6) for hours.
Finally they found them. They were hugging, in the 'triangle of life', where their mother had told them to take shelter in case of an earthquake. They were both dead.
That day this mom not only lost her only two children. She was left homeless, without any belongings, nothing.
