Ayudemos a Mariella

Nuestra madre, Mariella, hace 5 meses sufrió  su primer derrame celebrar, este derrame le afecto el lado derecho de su cuerpo al punto que no podia caminar sola. En un promedio de 2 meses con la ayuda de terapias ella logro recuperar una buena parte de su funcionalidad. Cuando pensamos que todo iva por buen camino, Mariella sufrió un segundo derrame en la misma parte del cerebro, esta vez fue mucho mayor que el primero. Perdió movilidad en su lado derecho al punto que solo podia estar acostada. Pero lo mas triste es que también perdió el habla. Después de muchos exámenes, los doctores determinaron que ella tiene una condición llamada Moyamoya. Esta condición le cierra las arteria cerebrales. La solución fue una cirugía que ayudo a que su sangre llegara con mas facilidad a su cerebro. Estuvo ingresada por 100 días entre los dos derrames.
Hoy ella camina con mucha dificultad y su habla nunca volvió. Necesita terapias física, ocupacional y  del habla. Estas terapias son imposible de pagar ya que ella no tiene seguro medico. 

Estamos pidiendo esta suma de dinero para que mi madre pueda volver a tener una vida normal y reciba la ayuda que necesite para sus medicamentos, terapias, y pagar los facturas de hospital que están pendiente.

Our mother, Mariella, suffered her first stroke 5 months ago. The stroke affected the left side of her brain; she lost most mobility to the right side of her body. In a matter of two months, she was able to make substantial improvement with the help of physical, occupational, and speech therapy. We thought her recovery was going well until she had a second stroke, affecting yet again the left side of her brain. The damage of the second stroke was so severe that she lost her complete ability to talk and walk. After several exams, the doctors determined that she had a condition called Moyamoya, which blocks the arteries in her brain from getting the necessary blood. The only solution was for her to undergo brain surgery and fix the blocked arteries. In total, she was hospitalized for 100 days. Today, she walks with a lot of difficulty but her speech has not returned. She needs physical, occupational, and speech therapy but these therapies are impossible to pay for without health insurance. 

We created this page in order to help raise money for our mom. The money will be used to help pay for her therapies, medications, and her outstanding hospital bills.
