Ayudemos a Gabriel a operarse

Gabriel Torrini es un joven venezolano de 20 años que emigró con sus 2 hermanos a México debido a la crisis humanitaria que está sufriendo Venezuela. Desde muy joven estuvo interesado en los deportes y actualmente el fútbol es una de sus más grandes pasiones. La noche del domingo 25 octubre de 2020 Gabriel se dirigió desde Toluca, donde residen actualmente, hacia Ciudad de México. En horas de la madrugada del día siguiente uno de sus hermanos recibió la noticia de que un paramédico había encontrado a Gabriel en Ciudad de México tirado en el suelo y con un impacto de bala en la cervical debido a un asalto, quien logró llevarlo en una ambulancia al Hospital Regional “General Ignacio Zaragoza” en CDMX.
El personal del hospital logró atender a Gabriel a tiempo y estabilizar su salud, sin embargo, necesita de urgencia una operación ya que la bala fracturó la cervical. Sus hermanos necesitan ingresarlo a un centro médico donde reciba la atención apropiada, pero no cuentan con el dinero que se necesita y sin el mismo no lo pueden operar. Se ha contactado al consulado y a la embajada de Venezuela en México para pedir ayuda, pero no se ha recibido una respuesta aún y hay que atender a Gabriel cuanto antes.
Debido al COVID-19, los hospitales están trabajando a su máxima capacidad y los procesos están tardando más de lo habitual. Es por eso por lo que aún nos encontramos hablando con los doctores sobre cuál es el camino que debemos seguir para tratar el caso de Gabriel. Los doctores del hospital donde se encuentra actualmente han dicho que necesita unas placas de titanio para corregir la fractura en su cervical. Estaremos actualizando cualquier información nueva.

He's been into sports since he was very young and currently futbol is one of his biggest passions. The night of october 25, 2020 Gabriel traveled from Toluca, where they currently live, to México City. The next day in the early morning one of his siblings found out that a paramedic had found Gabriel in CDMX on the ground. He had been shot in his cervical spine due to an assult. He was taken in an ambulance to the Regional Hospital “General Ignacio Zaragoza”, in CDMX.
The hospital staff was able to stabalize Gabriel´s health on time, however, he needs a surgery becuase the bullet broke his cervical spine. His siblings need to take him to a medical center where he can get appropriate attention. They do not have the money that is needed and the doctors will not operate without it. The family has contacted the venezuelan consulate and Embassy in Mexico to ask for help, but they have not given an answer yet and Gabriel needs the surgery as soon as possible.
Due to COVID-19, hospitals are working at their máximum capacity and every process is taking more time than usual. Becuase of this we are still in conversations with the doctors as we try to plot the best path forward for Gabriel. The doctors from the hospital where he is have said that he needs titanium plates to correct the fracture on his cervical spine. We will be updating any new information.
