Alirio José Torrealba started playing percussion at the age of 8. He is currently 23 years old and his young age has had an interesting, extensive and successful musical life. From 2013 to 2016, Alirio was part of the Caracas Youth Symphony Orchestra with which he had the opportunity to represent his country in incredible cities such as Hiroshima, Tokyo, Séul, Zurich, Hamburg, Paris, Zagreb, Budapest, Vienna, Gothenburg, Milan, Lisbon, Toulouse, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Castellón de la Plana. Alirio Torrealba to the verse in precarious needs in his country (Venezuela), was in the painful need to leave his musical studies in 2017 to be able to help his family and find a better quality of life. Alirio emigrated to Colombia and then to Peru, where playing on the streets became his day to day, until he reaches the point of despair, leaving everything to help his family.
Alirio was selected in 2018 to join the Orchestra of the Americas, joining the percussion section for the European tour of the orchestra, playing in important places such as the Krzysztof Penderecki European Music Center (Luslawice), Sinfonia Warsaw Concert Hall (Warsaw), Lviv Philharmonic Hall (Lviv), Opera House (Lviv), ELB Philharmonic (Hamburg). After this, he was selected by the pianist Gabriela Montero to be part of his ensemble, which was premiered on September 21, 2019 at the Victoria Hall (Geneva, Switzerland).
In February of this year he was on a tour giving master classes on cross-pole Maracas based on his method called "The Art of Maracas". He was in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Ghent, Brussels, Frankfurt, Munich, Freiburg im Breisgau, Paris, Bilbao, Barcelona, Valencia, Cordoba and Madrid. On this trip he met many people and among them he met the maestro Bart Quartier, who is interested in hearing this year at the Koninklijk Conservatory in Brussels, a conservatory where he is the professor in charge of the percussion department.
It would be a dream come true for young Alirio Torrealba to be able to attend Brussels and present his audition; Since the teacher Bart Quartier has had his interest in, he has had the desire and a worker in the repertoire required to perform his audition.
He is currently in his hometown in Venezuela due to the crisis we are experiencing worldwide (COVID-19) and that abroad he had no possibility of working for quarantine. He is currently in Guanare, at his family's house, and because of the country situation there is no way to generate money, so he has had to use part of his savings for day to day and that nothing is missing. Therefore we carry out this campaign in order to help this talented musician to cover the costs of his audition in Brussels, taking into account the important repercussion that this will have on his career as a musician. Let's help Alirio so that he can continue his desire to become a professional musician by accessing one of the best music institutions in Europe!

Alirio Jose Torrealba comenzó a tocar la percusión desde los 8 años de edad. Actualmente tiene 23 años y a su corta edad a tenido una interesante, extensa y exitosa vida musical. Desde el año 2013 al 2016, Alirio formó parte de la Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil de Caracas con la cual tuvo la oportunidad de representar a su país en las ciudades increíbles como Hiroshima, Tokio, Séul, Zúrich, Hamburgo, París, Zagreb, Budapest, Viena, Gotemburgo, Milán, Lisboa, Toulouse, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Castellón de la Plana. El joven Alirio Torrealba al verse en necesidades precarias en su país (Venezuela), se vio en la penosa necesidad de dejar sus estudios musicales en el año 2017 para poder ayudar a su familia y encontrar una mejor calidad de vida. Alirio emigró a Colombia y luego a Perú donde tocar en las calles se convirtió en su día a día, hasta llegar al punto de desesperación por no tener como cumplir con su objetivo, ayudar a su familia. El joven Alirio fue seleccionado en el año 2018 para formar parte de la Orquesta de las Américas, integrando la fila de percusión para la gira Europea de dicha orquesta, tocando en escenarios importantes como el Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre of Music (Luslawice), Sinfonia Varsovia Concert Pavilion (Varsovia), Lviv Philharmonic Hall (Lviv), Opera House (Lviv), ELBPhliharmonic (Hamburgo). Luego de esto, fue seleccionado por la pianista Gabriela Montero para formar parte de su ensamble, el cual hizo su estreno el 21 de septiembre de 2019 en el Victoria Hall (Ginebra, Suiza).
En Febrero de este año estuvo en una gira dictando clases magistrales de Maracas palo cruzado basado en su método llamado “The Art of the Maracas”. Estuvo en Ámsterdam, Amberes, Gante, Bruselas, Frankfurt, Múnich, Friburgo de Brisgovia, París, Bilbao, Barcelona, Valencia, Córdoba y Madrid. En este viaje conocio muchas personas y entre ellas conocio al maestro Bart Quartier, el cual mostró interés en que audicionara este año en el Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels, conservatorio donde el es profesor encargado del departamento de percusión.
Para el joven Alirio Torrealba sería un sueño hecho realidad poder asistir a Bruselas y presentar su audición; desde el momento en que el maestro Bart Quartier hablo de su interés en el ha tenido el deseo y a trabajado en el repertorio requerido para realizar su audición.
Actualmente se encuentra en su ciudad natal en Venezuela por la crisis que estamos viviendo mundialmente (COVID-19) ya que en el exterior no tenía posibilidad de trabajar por la cuarentena. Acá en Guanare se encuentra en casa de su familia y a causa de la situación país no hay manera de generar dinero, por lo cual ha tenido que usar parte de sus ahorros para el día a día y que nada les falte. Por lo tanto realizamos esta campaña con el fin de ayudar al joven músico a completar el dinero requerido para cubrir los gastos de su audición, tomando en cuenta la importante repercusión que esto tendría en su carrera como músico. Ayudemos a Alirio para que pueda continuar con su deseo de convertirse en un músico profesional accediendo a una de las mejores instituciones de música.
