 En 2013, FUNDAMUSA inició en República Dominicana una investigación para conocer la incidencia de accidentes que afectaban a niños y niñas, especialmente durante sus primeros años de vida.

 Los resultados mostraron una realidad preocupante: muchas lesiones y situaciones que podían poner en peligro la vida de los niños podían prevenirse mediante información, educación y cambios en los ambientes donde ellos viven y se desarrollan.

 A partir de esta experiencia, FUNDAMUSA desarrolló una estrategia educativa y lúdica para trabajar la prevención con niños y niñas del nivel inicial.
