<div>En los últimos años ha ocurrido una creciente ola de personas migrando, las cuales están transitando por Chiapas para llegar hasta los estados unidos en búsqueda de una vida sin violencia y oportunidades de vida. Ante esta realidad nos hemos encontrado con una situación devastadora, mujeres mayores, mujeres adultas, personas gestantes, niñeces, adolescentes, personas de la comunidad LGBTQ+ y hombres sin acceso a condiciones salubres y seguras de vivienda, sin acceso a la salud o medicamentos y sin acceso a una alimentación digna.

<div>Desde hace dos años hemos decidido salir con nuestras herramientas y recursos y brindar atención de salud sexual y reproductiva desde el modelo de partería mediante brigadeo callejero, en donde damos atención prenatal, ginecológica, medicina tradicional china, masajes abdominales, también repartimos víveres, realizamos medicina herbolaria la cual es repartida entre las personas, damos algunos medicamentos básicos y suplementos vitamínicos.

<div>Con lo recaudado podremos continuar por un año más realizando estas importantes brigadas, las cuales en estos últimos años nos ha permitido dar atención a personas en movilidad para que su paso por el sur de México pueda ser amable y cálido, no solo desde el cuidado físico pero también desde lo emocional.

<div>Hello everyone! We are the San Cristóbal Birth Center, a midwife association that has been working for 20 years in the Highlands of Chiapas on sexual and reproductive health, based on respect, dignity, and autonomy.

<div>In recent years, there has been a growing wave of people migrating, who are passing through Chiapas on their way to the United States in search of a life free from violence and with better opportunities. Faced with this reality, we have encountered a devastating situation: older women, adult women, pregnant people, children, adolescents, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and men, all without access to safe and healthy living conditions, healthcare, medications, and dignified food.

<div>Two years ago, we decided to go out with our own tools and resources to provide sexual and reproductive health care based on the midwifery model through street brigades. In these brigades, we offer prenatal and gynecological care, traditional Chinese medicine, abdominal massages, and we also distribute food, prepare herbal medicine that is given to people, provide some basic medications and vitamin supplements.

<div>In recent years, these brigades have allowed us to provide care for people that is being displaced, so their journey through southern Mexico can be not only physically caring but also emotionally warm and welcoming. With the funds raised, we will be able to continue these important brigades for another year.
