Saludos familia, amigos y amigos de mis amigos. Mi nombre es Saúl Galavís Sosa, soy venezolano y tengo 30 años. En el 2010 fui diagnosticado con Espondilitis Anquilosante. Es una enfermedad crónica, que afecta las articulaciones, en especial la columna vertebral. Cuando hace crisis se inflaman las articulaciones alternativamente, pierdo movilidad y causa mucho dolor. En ese estado no puedo realizar ninguna actividad. Soy cocinero profesional, trabajo atendiendo dos cantinas en dos conocidos colegios de la ciudad de Valencia, Venezuela. Hasta octubre de 2016 el Ministerio de Sanidad me proporcionaba la medicina. En el 2017 y debido a la crisis de salud en el país, me faltó la medicina por 4 meses y tuve una gran recaída que me mantuvo en cama por más de 3 meses, inmóvil, con dolor y me atacó las vías digestivas. La medicina que logra detener los síntomas y el progreso de la enfermedad es Adalimumab, HUMIRA DE 40 MG. de laboratorios Abbott. Con el apoyo de mis padres y el de amigos logramos conseguir una cantidad suficiente para un año. En este momento ya no se puede conseguir en el país. Comprarla en el exterior cuesta entre $1.200 y $ 1.500 mensuales, dependiendo del país donde se pueda comprar y hacerla llegar a Venezuela. Ni mis padres ni yo tenemos más recursos económicos para adquirir el medicamento, y me queda sólo para un mes. Yo estoy tocando esta puerta en estos momentos, porque necesito garantizar un mínimo de 6 meses, tiempo que me permitirá evaluar otras opciones para poder seguir adelante, manteniendo estable mi salud.
Para mí ha sido muy difícil tomar la decisión de solicitar ayuda económica, pero ante la grave situación que vivimos en mi país, de escasez de medicamentos de alto costo, he recurrido a ustedes en busca de la ayuda que tanto necesito. Estaré inmensamente agradecido con cualquier monto que pueda sumar y ayudarme a comprar poco a poco la medicina en el exterior.

My name is Saul Galavis Sosa, I am Venezuelan and 30 years old. In 2010, I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis. This is a chronic disease that affects the bone joints and specially the spine. When in crisis, the different joints swell alternatively, there is loss of mobility and great pain. In this state I cannot do any physical activity. I am a professional cook and run two canteens in two renown schools in the city of Valencia, Venezuela. Until October 2016 the Health Department provided me with the medicine. In 2017, and due to the health crisis in the country, I lacked the medicine for 4 months and I had a great relapse that kept me without mobility for 3 months with great pain and attacked my digestive system as well. The medicine that stops the symptoms and the progress of the disease is Adalimumab, HUMIRA DE 40 MG. from Abbott Laboratories. With the support of my parents and friends I managed to find enough quantity to last a year. At the moment , there is no more medicine in the country. To buy it abroad costs from $1200 to $1500 monthly depending on what country I may buy it and have it sent from. Neither my parents nor myself have more economic means to buy it and I have only one more month of treatment. My goal is to have a minimun of 6 months supply of my medicine, wich would alIow me to evaluate other options, while keeping my health estable.
It has been very difficult for me to make the decision to request economical help, but due to the serious crisis that we are living in my country with lack of high cost medicines, I have turned to you in search for the help that I so much need. I will be immensely grateful with any amount that may add to help me buy the medicine abroad little by little. You can also help me by sharing this link to help my story reach more people.

The funds will be spent to buy the medicine as indicated above and withdrawals will be made by my uncle Humberto Sosa into his account to pay for the medicines. My uncle has a US bank account, he permanently lives in the United States, has a phone number and poses a US Social Security Number.
