<div>Ricardo se despertó con un dolor en el pecho que se volvió insoportable tras realizar ejercicios físicos. Fue trasladado de urgencia al centro médico donde, luego de estudios cardíacos, confirmaron una <strong>lesión extensa en la parte anterior de su corazón.</strong>

<div>Lo que tuvo Ricardo fue una obstrucción crítica en una de las arterias más importantes del corazón, la arteria orta izquierda. El hecho de que lo hayan atendido rápido y que esté con vida hoy es una gran bendición.

<div>Su vida fue salvada gracias a una <strong>angioplastia con colocación de un stent</strong>, un procedimiento que tuvo que realizarse <strong>de inmediato</strong> para restablecer el flujo sanguíneo.

<div>Los costos de hospitalización, estudios especializados, medicamentos y la intervención médica han sido <strong>muy altos</strong>, y lamentablemente, debido a los elevados costos de vida en Venezuela, <strong>Ricardo no cuenta con un seguro de salud que pueda cubrir estos gastos</strong>. A eso se suma que necesitará un <strong>estricto tratamiento a largo plazo, controles frecuentes, medicamentos de por vida y, por ahora, no podrá volver a trabajar.</strong>

<div>Hello, my name is Lisett Teixeira, and I’m organizing this campaign with my heart in my hands to help my cousin <strong>Ricardo de Nobrega, a young 38-year-old man who suffered a massive heart attack (extensive anterior STEMI) </strong>and was rushed today, July 20, to Policlínica Metropolitana in Caracas.

<div>Ricardo woke up with chest pain that became unbearable after physical exercise. He was urgently taken to the medical center, where cardiac tests confirmed a severe injury to the front part of his heart.

<div>What Ricardo experienced was a critical blockage in one of the heart’s most important arteries, the left main coronary artery. The fact that he received immediate care and is alive today is nothing short of a miracle.

<div>His life was saved by an emergency <strong>angioplasty with the placement of a stent</strong>, a procedure that had to be done right away to restore blood flow.

<div>Unfortunately, the costs of hospitalization, specialized tests, medications, and the emergency intervention have been <strong>extremely high.</strong> In Venezuela, due to the rising cost of living, <strong>Ricardo does not have health insurance to cover these expenses</strong>. On top of that, he now faces a long road to recovery with strict treatment, frequent checkups, lifelong medications, and for now, he won’t be able to return to work.
