Estoy recaudando fondos para mi hija, María Sofía Jaramillo Henao, después de la tragedia que cambió su vida. El 10 de agosto, María Sofía fue víctima del terremoto en Cali, Colombia, cuando el edificio Ana Pilar, donde vivía en el quinto piso, se desplomó. Ella trató de huir por las escaleras, pero al llegar al primer piso el edificio colapsó y quedó atrapada entre los escombros. Sufrió múltiples fracturas, incluyendo la clavícula, las costillas y el peroné, además de golpes, traumas en la cabeza y muchas heridas que requirieron puntos en distintas partes de su cuerpo. Gracias a Dios, a su fortaleza y a la ayuda de voluntarios que la encontraron, pudo sobrevivir. 
 
 
 Ahora comienza una recuperación muy difícil. María Sofía tiene problemas de movilidad, está en cama y necesita ayuda constante. Yo estaré en Colombia acompañándola y usando estos fondos directamente para cubrir sus necesidades mientras atraviesa este proceso. La ayuda será destinada a medicinas, tratamientos, equipo médico, apoyo psicológico y necesidades personales. También usaremos los fondos para conseguir un lugar donde María Sofía pueda vivir y para reponer sus cosas, ya que perdió absolutamente todo en el derrumbe de su apartamento, para que pueda empezar nuevamente su vida con un poco de estabilidad y dignidad. Les pido de corazón que nos ayuden a darle a María Sofía la atención y el apoyo que necesita en este momento tan duro. Cualquier aporte, por pequeño que sea, será recibido con profunda gratitud.  I am raising funds for my daughter, María Sofía Jaramillo Henao, after the tragedy that changed her life. On August 10, María Sofía was a victim of the earthquake in Cali, Colombia, when the Ana Pilar building, where she lived on the fifth floor, collapsed. She tried to escape down the stairs, but when she reached the first floor, the building gave way and she was trapped under the rubble. She suffered multiple fractures, including her collarbone, ribs, and fibula, as well as blows, head trauma, and many wounds that required stitches on different parts of her body. Thanks to God, her strength, and the volunteers who found her, she survived. 
 
 
 Now a very difficult recovery begins. María Sofía has serious mobility problems, is bedridden, and needs constant help. I will be in Colombia with her, using these funds directly for her care and daily needs while she goes through this process. The funds will help cover medicines, treatments, medical equipment, psychological support, and personal necessities. We will also use the funds to help find a place for María Sofía to live and to replace her belongings, because she lost absolutely everything in the collapse of her apartment, so she can begin her life again with some stability and dignity. From the bottom of my heart, I ask for your help to give María Sofía the care and support she needs during this painful time.
