El Dr. Luis Urdaneta ha trabajado en el Hospital Vargas de Caracas por más de treinta años como Médico Internista y Nefrólogo, durante su trayectoria en el hospital tuvo la oportunidad de fundar la unidad de terapia intensiva. También fue Profesor Universitario en la Escuela Vargas y Presidente de la Sociedad Venezolana de Nefrología.
Actualmente, el Dr. Urdaneta se encuentra hospitalizado en la unidad de cuidados intensivos en la Clínica Metropolitana de Caracas después de ser diagnosticado con COVID-19. Sus familiares y amigos están haciendo todo lo posible para contribuir con sus gastos médicos, pero debido a su avanzada edad (80 años) su recuperación ha sido mucho más lenta y, por consiguiente, mucho más costosa.
El objetivo de esta campaña es recaudar fondos para cubrir los gastos médicos que incrementan a diario y así poder brindarle la oportunidad de recuperarse para que continúe prestando su invaluable servicio a la sociedad venezolana como uno de los médicos con mayor experiencia en su campo. Pero sobre todo, para que siga acompañando a su familia, queriéndola y amándola con todas sus fuerzas como siempre lo ha hecho.

Dr. Luis Urdaneta has worked at the Vargas Hospital in Caracas for more than thirty years as an Internist and Nephrologist, during his career in the hospital he had the opportunity to found the intensive care unit. He was also a University Professor at the Vargas School and President of the Venezuelan Society of Nephrology.
Dr. Urdaneta is currently hospitalized in the intensive care unit at the Caracas Metropolitan Clinic after being diagnosed with COVID-19. His family and friends are doing everything possible to contribute to his medical expenses, but due to his advanced age (80 years old), his recovery has been much slower and, consequently, much more expensive.
The objective of this campaign is to raise funds to cover the medical expenses that increase daily and thus be able to give him the opportunity to recover so that he continues to provide his invaluable service to Venezuelan society as one of the most experienced doctors in his field. But above all, so that he continues accompanying his family, caring for them and loving them with all his strength as he always has.
