<div>Hoy, Mochi está luchando por su vida. Mi angelito de ojos verdes, quien me ha acompañado en los momentos más difíciles, quien me despierta cada mañana con besitos y me llena de amor incondicional, ahora me necesita más que nunca.

<div>Tiene solo 2 años y nunca he conocido un gato más amoroso, noble y especial. Cada día me enseña lo que es el amor de tantas maneras. Es mi compañerito, mi mochila, mi chirriquitito, el que sabe cada uno de mis secretos, miedos y anhelos. Siempre dormimos juntos: él en mis piernas, Tobías en mi cabeza, y yo sosteniéndolos a ambos. Sin él, mi familia de tres simplemente no sería la misma.

<div>Cuando he estado mal, ellos han sido quienes me han limpiado las lágrimas, me han ayudado a respirar y han aliviado mi tristeza. Ahora, Mochi me necesita más que nunca, y haría lo que fuera por salvarlo. No suelo pedir ayuda, de hecho, lo odio, pero en este momento no puedo sola. Si pudiera cambiar de lugar con él, lo haría sin dudarlo. Los que me conocen saben que el amor que yo siento por mis gatos es invaluable, son los amores de mi vida y sin duda son mi motor diario, he querido rendirme tantas veces y ellos siempre ahí con sus naricitas contra la mía me animan a seguir dando lo mejor.

<div>Esta mañana, de repente, se puso muy mal y comenzó a sangrar. Lo llevé de emergencia al veterinario, donde lo intervinieron y lo llevé a casa con la esperanza de que mejorara con las medicinas. Pero por la tarde, al notar que no podía orinar, decidí llevarlo de nuevo. Me dijeron que se había bloqueado otra vez y que las únicas opciones eran hospitalizarlo o despedirme de él.

<div>Mochi está hospitalizado esta noche con una sonda para evitar que su uretra se vuelva a bloquear. La esperanza es que para las 7 a.m. ya se sienta un poco mejor. Sin embargo, los veterinarios me dijeron que la única solución definitiva es una cirugía, y en este momento, necesito toda la ayuda posible para poder seguir adelante con su tratamiento. Mis gatos no tienen seguro y las cuentas acá son muy costosas, cubrí todos los gastos de esta mañana sin considerar que tendría que volver y que todo sería aún más difícil, por lo que ahora recurro a pedir ayuda.

<div>Hi, I’m Catalina. I migrated to the U.S. alone, and my two cats, Tobías Antonio and Mochi Francisco, are my family. Each has their own personality, but they are both my reflection and my greatest companions.

<div>Today, Mochi is fighting for his life. My little green-eyed angel, who has been with me through my toughest moments, who wakes me up every morning with kisses and fills me with unconditional love, now needs me more than ever.

<div>He is only 2 years old, and I have never met a cat more loving, noble, and special. Every day, he teaches me what love truly means. He is my little baby, my “mochila” my “chirriquitico”. He knows all my secrets, fears, and dreams. We always sleep together—him on my legs, Tobías on my head, and me holding onto both of them. Without him, my little family of three simply wouldn’t be the same.

<div>When I’ve been at my lowest, they’ve been the ones who have wiped my tears, helped me breathe, and comforted me. Now, Mochi needs me, and I would do anything to save him. I don’t usually ask for help, in fact, I hate it. But right now, I can’t do this alone. If I could trade places with him, I would, just to give him life and happiness.

<div>Anyone who knows me knows how much I love my cats. They are my everything, my daily motivation. I have wanted to give up so many times, but they are always there, pressing their little noses against mine, encouraging me to keep going.

<div>This morning, out of nowhere, Mochi got very sick and started bleeding. I rushed him to the emergency vet, where they treated him, and I brought him home with medication, hoping he would recover. But in the afternoon, I noticed he still couldn’t urinate, so I took him back. They told me he was blocked again and that my only options were to hospitalize him or say goodbye.

<div>Mochi is currently hospitalized with a catheter to keep his urethra from blocking again. The hope is that by 7 a.m., he will be feeling better. However, the vets told me that the only definitive solution is surgery, and right now, I need all the help I can get to continue his treatment.
</div>

<div>My cats don’t have pet insurance, and veterinary care here is extremely expensive. I covered all the costs this morning without expecting that I would need to return, making things even more difficult. Now, I’m reaching out for help, as I can’t do this alone.
</div>
