<div>Hace unos meses, mi papá se sometió a una cirugía de cataratas en Venezuela, pero debido a una mala praxis médica, perdió la transparencia de la córnea en su ojo derecho, desarrollando una queratopatía bulosa que hoy lo mantiene prácticamente sin visión.

<div>A esto se suma que en su ojo izquierdo presenta una catarata cortical, lo que limita aún más su capacidad visual. Los especialistas han indicado que necesita con urgencia un trasplante de córnea en el ojo derecho.

<div>El costo total del tratamiento, insumos y cirugía asciende a $200,000 pesos mexicanos (aprox. 10,000 USD).

<div>La situación es todavía más compleja porque mi papá también es sordo desde hace años, consecuencia de una infección previa. Esto significa que si pierde la visión por completo, quedará en un estado de total aislamiento.

<div>En Venezuela los trasplantes de córnea no son legales, por lo que la única opción es costear este procedimiento en una clínica privada. Mi papá ha sido un hombre trabajador toda su vida, hoy necesita de la solidaridad de los demás para poder volver a ver y mantener su independencia.
