My Dad, Jose Antonio Guerrero, lives in Caracas, Venezuela. He is 71 years old and retired.
He was in bed for a few days with general discomfort, and after taking a test, he was diagnosed positive for Covid-19. For a few days he had treatment at home, but when the symptoms became more severe, he had to go to the ER.
Since Thursday, April 8, after spending 3 days in the ER, he was transferred to intensive care in the same medical center, and his clinical picture worsened when he presented a pulmonary thrombosis, which forced the doctors to apply an endotracheal intubation. Condition in which he has been since Friday, April 9, 2021. According to the doctors' diagnosis, it is estimated that he must be in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) for 3 more weeks.
Since my dad went into the Emergency Department of the Tamanaco Institute of Clinics and Urology (Urológico San Román - Caracas), we have made efforts to make partial payments on the debt that is generated, plus the treatment that they have been applying.
For those that are unaware of the health situation in Venezuela, all hospitals are at full capacity and clinics (like the one my dad is in) once you are not able to pay, they will release the patient back to their home regardless of the conditions they may be in.
We are in desperate need of financial support to continue paying for the ICU and that dad continues to receive the necessary care to get out of critical condition.

Mi Papá, Jose Antonio Guerrero, vive en Caracas, jubilado y de 71 años, estuvo en cama durante unos días con malestar general, y al hacerse una prueba, fue diagnosticado positivo para el Covid-19. Durante unos días tuvo tratamiento en casa, pero cuando los síntomas se hicieron más severos, tuvo que ingresar a Emergencias de un Centro de Salud.
Desde el jueves 8 de abril, luego de estar 3 días en el área de Emergencias, fue trasladado a cuidados intensivos en el mismo centro medico, y su cuadro clínico empeoro al presentar una trombosis pulmonar, que obligo a los médicos aplicar una intubación endotraqueal, condición en la que se encuentra desde el viernes 9 de abril de 2021 y de acuerdo con el diagnóstico de los médicos se estiman 3 semanas más que deberá estar en la UCI (Unidad de cuidados intensivos).
Desde que papá, ingreso a Emergencias del Instituto de Clínicas y Urología Tamanaco (Urológico San Román - Caracas), hemos hechos esfuerzos para hacer pagos parciales, sobre la deuda que se genera, más el tratamiento que le han venido aplicando, pero necesitamos un apoyo económico para continuar costeando la UCI y que papá siga recibiendo los cuidados necesarios para salir del estado crítico.
