Ayuda a Héctor a Recuperar su Movilidad.

Hola, mi nombre es Héctor Alfonso Rivas Cordero, tengo 41 años y soy barbero de profesión.

El 26 de abril de 2023, a las 10 a. m., mientras esperaba el autobús para ir a trabajar, sufrí un terrible accidente. Un motociclista, que realizaba maniobras peligrosas, perdió el control y me impactó a gran velocidad. Caí al suelo y fui arrollado. El responsable huyó, dejándome gravemente herido.

Como resultado del accidente, sufrí una fractura cerrada de tibia y peroné. Fui ingresado en un hospital público, donde me realizaron una primera cirugía y colocaron material de osteosíntesis para estabilizar mis huesos.

Hoy, sigo en un proceso de recuperación complicado. Necesito una nueva cirugía para retirar el material de osteosíntesis y reconstruir el hueso, evitando así el riesgo de osteomielitis (una grave infección ósea). Actualmente, mi diagnóstico incluye una pseudoartrosis ósea, lo que significa que el hueso no ha sanado correctamente.

Esta cirugía es crucial para que pueda recuperar mi movilidad y volver a trabajar. Sin embargo, los costos médicos son elevados y no puedo cubrirlos por mi cuenta. Por eso, acudo a ustedes con la esperanza de recibir su apoyo.

Hi, my name is Héctor Alfonso Rivas Cordero, I am 41 years old and work as a barber.

On April 26, 2023, at 10 a.m., I was waiting at the bus stop on my way to work when a tragic accident changed my life. A motorcyclist, performing reckless maneuvers, lost control and crashed into me at high speed. I was thrown to the ground and run over. The motorcyclist fled the scene, leaving me severely injured.

As a result of the accident, I suffered a closed tibia and fibula fracture. I was admitted to a public hospital, where I underwent my first surgery, during which doctors placed osteosynthesis material to stabilize my bones.

Today, I am still facing a challenging recovery. I need a second surgery to remove the osteosynthesis material and reconstruct the bone, preventing the risk of osteomyelitis (a severe bone infection). I have also been diagnosed with bone pseudoarthrosis, meaning my bones have not healed properly.

This surgery is crucial for me to regain my mobility and return to work. However, the medical costs are high, and I cannot afford them on my own. That’s why I am reaching out to you, hoping for your support.
