Histerectomia Urgente! Ayudemos a Maria Gracia

Hola! Soy Maria Gracia, una joven venezolana ilustradora, actualmente resido en Chile debido a que tuve que emigrar de Venezuela por la situación que enfrenta el país. 

Hoy recurro a ustedes porque necesito de su ayuda. Tengo una condición fibroquística, la cual, produce tumores que crecen abruptamente producto de un desbalance hormonal.

Fui operada a los 18 años de múltiples tumores en los senos y a los 27 años aparecieron varios en el útero, lo que me obligó a acudir a tratamientos naturales/hormonales buscando la forma de reducirlos y así evitar una operación más invasiva. Sin embargo, a pesar de todos los esfuerzos tuve que ser operada. 

Desafortunadamente, hace 2 años durante un chequeo rutinario me confirmaron la existencia de nuevos tumores en el útero. 

Han sido 2 años de agotamiento físico, mental y emocional. He presentado hemorragias, anemia en diferentes oportunidades y he tenido secuelas, algunas a causa del tratamiento para reducirlos. Durante este tiempo, los tumores no han dejado de crecer. En  este momento tengo 7 tumores internos y 1 externo de considerable tamaño que constantemente afectan mi energía, vitalidad y salud en general.

Decidí investigar en el área bancaria con la ilusión de poder solicitar un crédito para así ir a Venezuela y operarme  en compañía de mi familia. Lamentablemente, el crédito no fue aprobado y la situación de crisis hospitalaria en mi país dificulta la admisión por falta de insumos en los hospitales, los cuales, deben ser cubiertos por los pacientes a precios elevados en dólares.

Estoy en proceso pre operatorio por el sistema de salud público en Chile, al cual entré en Junio del 2019, obteniendo mi primera cita con el cirujano en Febrero del 2020, pero por causa del COVID19 se paralizó el proceso.

Puesto que la salud pública no da garantías de asignarme una fecha vitalmente cercana para la cirugía y mi condición sigue empeorando rápidamente me veo forzada a tener que acudir al sistema de salud privada. 

Por ello, acudo a ustedes y a su generosidad para ayudarme a recaudar fondos para la operación. Mi condición requiere una HISTERECTOMIA TOTAL, la cual, tiene un costo equivalente a ocho mil dólares ($8.000) aproximadamente. Esto incluye; cirugía, hospitalización, gastos administrativos, honorarios médicos, transfusión de sangre en caso de ser necesario por tener los niveles de hemoglobina baja, biopsia y exámenes.

Actualmente estoy en una situación crítica en un país extranjero donde no cuento con los recursos para cubrir todos los gastos, por ello he creado la campaña de GOFUNDME con su ayuda podré realizarme lo antes posible la cirugía que tanto necesito.

Hi! I am Maria Gracia, a young Venezuelan illustrator, currently residing in Chile. I was forced to leave Venezuela due to the current political and humanitarian crisis facing my country. 

Today I turn to you because I need your help. I have a fibrocystic condition, which causes my body to produce tumors that grow abruptly due to a hormonal imbalance.

When I was 18 I underwent my first surgery to remove several tumors in my breast. By the time I was 27 several more appeared in my uterus - this led me to seek hormonal treatments in an attempt to reduce them and thus avoid a more invasive procedure. Despite all my efforts, I had to undergo surgery once again. 

Two years ago during a routine checkup they unfortunately confirmed the existence of new tumors in the uterus.  

It’s been 2 years of physical, mental and emotional exhaustion. I have had hemorrhages, anemia and multiple side effects due to the treatments I subjected myself in order to try to reduce the tumors. During this time, the tumors in my uterus have not stopped growing. At the moment I have 7 internal tumors and 1 external - all of considerable size that constantly affect my energy, vitality and general wellbeing. 

I decided to seek financial help through a bank loan with the intention of having surgery in Venezuela in the company of my family. Unfortunately, the loan was denied and the current crisis in hospitals in Venezuela makes admission difficult due to the lack of even the most basic medical supplies.

 I am in the pre-operative process in the public health system in Chile, which I entered in June 2019, but due to COVID19 the process was paralyzed. At this point the public health system can not guarantee a date for my surgery in the near future -  and because my condition continues to deteriorate rapidly, I am forced to seek help from the private health system. 

I turn to you and your generosity to help me raise funds for the surgery. My condition requires a TOTAL HYSTERECTOMY, which has a cost equivalent to eight thousand dollars ($ 8,000). This includes; surgery, hospitalization, administrative expenses, medical fees, blood transfusion if necessary due to low hemoglobin levels, biopsy and tests. 

I am currently in a critical situation in a foreign country, far from my family and support system and don't have the resources to cover all the expenses -  for this reason I have created this GOFUNDME campaign - I have faith that with your help and support I will be able to have the surgery that I’m in desperate need for and finally begin to heal my body.
