Alberto ha recibido el alta médica y ya está en casa para empezar una larga rehabilitación que no cubre ningún seguro médico, ni el del coche culpable, ni el seguro médico universitario ni Asisa ni la seg social. Quiero daros las gracias por todos los apoyos recibidos que sin duda servirán para darle a Rente el soporte necesario para intentar superar esta tragedia. Un fuerte abrazo.

<div>Sep2023: Es muy urgente trasladar a Alberto a un hospital con los recursos adecuados para que reciba el tratamiento médico rehabilitador integral que necesita. El centro actual F. Instituto San José  tiene una gran carencia de medios y de personal y es un escándalo que no nos permitan ni autoricen el traslado que hemos solicitado, ni nos dejen llevar profesionales externos, perjudicando gravemente la salud de nuestro hijo y reduciendo las posibilidades de recuperación. Hago un llamamiento desesperado a todos, en especial al mundo del fútbol, por si desde vuestra posición podéis intervenir de forma efectiva en cualquier ámbito, sobre posibles tratamientos y hospitales, convenios, seguros, legales, etc, para ayudar a Alberto a tener la oportunidad de recuperarse y que actualmente se le está negando de forma tan cruel e inhumana.

<div><span>Aprovecho para contestaros a todas vuestras preguntas que no he podido atender y resumiros la situación. Nuestro hijo Alberto fue seleccionado por AFE, Asociación de futbolistas españoles, para obtener una beca deportiva para cursar un Máster en NSU, en el marco del programa Soccer player impulsado por AFE para sus asociados. Ese fatídico 13nov22, una estudiante, circulando en sentido contrario, embistió frontalmente a Alberto y a su compañero Milos en una calle que da acceso a instalaciones deportivas de la universidad, destrozando sus vidas. Milos se va recuperando, pero Alberto, aunque va mejorando lentamente con mayores respuestas, necesita una atención médica y rehabilitadora integral, sobre todo de corto y medio plazo, para tener posibilidades de recuperación.</span>

<div><span>Ha sido muy indignante comprobar que el seguro médico “ilimitado” recomendado y aprobado por la Universidad americana, la propia Universidad, AFE y el seguro del coche causante de los daños se hayan desentendido de esta tragedia, ni siquiera se han hecho cargo de los costes médicos y de rehabilitación ni nos han dado soporte alguno. En España, tampoco hay convenio con las aseguradoras americanas y tanto ASISA como la Seguridad Social ofrecen una cobertura muy escasa y limitada, obligándonos a llevarle a centros de rehabilitación integrales privados con costes globales de 15000€/mes.</span>

<div><span>A su llegada a España fue ingresado en hospital la Beata M Ana de ASISA con muy buen servicio de rehabilitación y ya se empezaron a ver avances, pero la negativa de ASISA a continuar pagando y la nefasta atención médica recibida (casi pierde un ojo) nos obligaron a trasladarle a la FJDIAZ donde han conseguido estabilizarle y salvarle el ojo. Desde allí, le derivaron a F Instituto San José para recibir las terapias de rehabilitación y estimulación multisensorial recomendadas y prescritas por los médicos, pero lamentablemente en el nuevo centro, la asistencia médica y rehabilitadora recibida es muy muy deficiente, básica e insuficiente, dejando a Alberto abandonado a su suerte. Nos encontramos muy desamparados. </span>

<div><span>Our son Alberto was selected to obtain a scholarship to study a Master's Degree at NSU. On that fateful Nov 13th of 2022, a student, driving in the wrong direction, hit Alberto and his teammate Milos head-on on a street leading to the university's sports facilities, destroying their lives. Milos is recovering but Alberto, although slowly improving with increased responses, needs medical and rehabilitative care in the medium to long term to have any chance of recovery. </span>

<div><span>It has been very outrageous to see that neither the "unlimited" medical insurance recommended and approved by NSU, nor the University itself, and not even the insurance of the car that caused the damage, will cover the medical and rehabilitation costs. It is very urgent to transfer him from the current hospital in Spain to a new medical facility to receive a comprehensive medical rehabilitative treatment, but it has costs up to 15000€/month.</span><br />

<div>On Sunday, November 13, Alberto Rentero, was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident. As a result of the heavy collision, Alberto suffered a traumatic brain injury that put him in a coma.

<div>Alberto Rentero, was born in Madrid on March 24th, 1997. One of his passions was playing soccer. He started his jorney in this sport at a young age, in the Atletico de Madrid Academy, path that took him all the way to the United States, to the Nova Southeastern University men’s soccer team, where he was able to take his game to the next level.

<div>During the first months after the accident, Alberto was hospitalized in Florida (USA) from where he was transferred by medicalized plane to a hospital in Madrid, where he continues to receive the appropriate care from his doctors and nurses.
