Ayo's Miracle!

Opera. For. Everyone.

Doctor Miracle Amah is an artist on a mission. Hailing from Nigeria, Dr. Amah is creating space and understanding for authentic decolonization in the arts; in all capacities and genres. In many institutions, opera is constrained to a European perspective and leaves no room for innovation. Dr. Amah and her team have brought her opera, "Omo Àgbè Tó D'olórin" (The Farmer's Daughter Becomes a Musician) to the stage and will soon bring it to a children's book, cast recording, and eventually the big screen as an animated feature. Her journey started in June of 2022, and we are so excited to share each milestone with you as we bring you this inspiring story.

David Swanson is the facilitator and producer of this story. His goal is to make this dream a reality. His experience as a producer of radio and children's content, his desire to learn more about the cultures represented in Nigeria and his passion for decolonized musical arts fuel his vision to collaborate with Dr. Amah.

Together, they have invested personally into this project and are searching for investors to support their mission.

The first step will be to finish the children's book, publish it, and sell it to the public. Creators worldwide have been working on character designs, background paintings, and content for this book.

Capital from the book will make a cast recording possible. The opera has been performed live, and the recording will not only deliver fantastic music to streaming platforms for consumers to enjoy anywhere but will also provide an integral component of our final step.

Once the book and cast recording are finished, an animated film will be created. This film will feature the art and music created for the book and recording. This animated film will represent Nigerian cultural groups, music, art styles, and more all while collaborating with people worldwide to fulfill the mission of decolonization.
