Help Melanie Fight Stupid Cancer

This account was created to help ease some of the incredible financial burden and stress the Sexton family is experiencing in the wake of Mom, Melanie's, devastating breast cancer diagnosis. Melanie, who is 35 years old, was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma that is triple negative, which limits the treatment options available. Melanie has completed her first round of Chemo, and though it was a really tough, sick, achy, time; she survived it and never lost her fighting spirit. After appointments this past week, Melanie has finally started to feel just a little better and was even able to get out and enjoy some of the beautiful weather! The tumor has not shrunk, but has changed in some positive ways. What a beautiful thing hope is. This battle is going to be a long one, but she is hopeful that the tumors will be shrunk enough by the chemo to be able to complete the double mastectomy surgery she desperately needs.

Her wonderful husband Ryan, who is now the sole financial provider for the family is doing a great job of balancing working two jobs and helping to care for Melanie, but she needs him so much at home and easing this financial weight would provide her the opportunity to have him with her more often. Along with Ryan, Melanie has her incredible son Tavin who is 16 and such a huge help around the house, and seven year old twins, Ryker and Ryland "Little." Melanie is the rock of this family and needs to focus on fighting this stupid cancer and getting well. All donations of any size are greatly appreciated, and will go so far with this incredible family. These kids need their mama and she needs to get well!
