Hello! We are Wandering Monks, a Cultural Association with the purpose of promoting the spiritual development of all people, especially pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago.
Hospitality is one of our hallmarks as an Association, and we want to practise it the best way possible. Casa de Pan, the hospitality house will be the means where we dream to receive those who need a place of rest and comprehensive care.
In the summer of 2020 through Crowdfunding, we bought this house and a piece of land at km. 15 of the Portuguese Way to Santiago. Thanks to the support of many, we are restoring it little by little.
Last summer 2021, we completed the first phase:
Wood ceiling installation throughout the house and shed
Three layer insulation
New tile roof
A concrete floor in the upper story.
We are very happy with the progress, but we still have a lot of work to do: electrical installation, plumbing and drainage, leveling of floors on the ground floor, new doors and windows, bathrooms and kitchen.

¡Hola! Somos Wandering Monks , una Asociación Cultural con el propósito de formentar el desarrollo espiritual de todas las personas, en especial de los peregrinos en el Camino de Santiago.
La hospitalidad es uno de nuestros distintivos como Asociación, y queremos hacerlo lo mejor posible. Para esto, necesitábamos un medio donde poder practicarla y recibir a quienes necesitan un lugar de descanso y cuidado integral.
En el verano de 2020 a través de Crowdfunding, compramos esta casa y un terreno en el km. 15 del Camino Portugués a Santiago. Gracias al apoyo de muchos, estamos restaurándola poco a poco.
Este verano 2021 completamos la primera fase:
- Instalación de techo de madera en toda la casa y cobertizo
- Aislamiento de tres capas
- Nuevo tejado de tejas
- Suelo de hormigón en la planta de arriba
Estamos muy contentos con los avances, pero aún nos queda mucho trabajo por hacer: instalación eléctrica, fontanería y saneamiento, nivelado de suelos en planta baja, nuevas puertas y ventanas, baños y cocina.
