In honor of the Cancer Fighting Ninja and Lego Master Justin Miller, we are launching the 1st annual Justin Miller Lego Drive.
Justin was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in 2006 at the tender age of 3. Doctors gave Justin a 30% chance of being alive in five years. They said if he relapsed, he wouldn’t survive. Justin proved them wrong.
As he fought through 6 relapses, Justin’s spirit and strength never waivered. He fought every battle with courage, determination and an amazing sense of humor. Justin taught us a lesson or two about living life to the fullest.
He inspired thousands along the way with his story and his strength. He was selected as one of 5 national St. Baldrick’s ambassadors in 2012. He became an Honorary Aurora Police officer and was awarded the Medal of Honor in the Spring of 2013. He defied all odds, but ultimately lost his battle in January 2014. He’s left behind a lasting impression on so many of us, inspiring us to make a difference for other children who are fighting their own battles.
Justin once said you could get through anything "with the three goods"... "Good friends, Good family, Good Legos!" Legos truly got him through so many challenging times – whether it was at Children’s Hospital here in Denver or one of the many times when he was staying at a Ronald McDonald House while undergoing treatment out of state. We’d love to honor his spirit and his legacy by passing on his love of Legos.
All funds raised here will be used to purchase Lego sets. Our goal is to collect enough new Lego sets to deliver for each patient at Children's Hospital and each guest at the Ronald McDonald House, both here in Denver.
