<div>Hello! Thanks for stopping by and taking an interest in our story!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With the last of the kiddos moved out of the house in '23, we decided to pursue our dreams of travel, close our construction company, and "semi-retire." We bought our old Peterbilt, "Roger," and spent the next year rebuilding it inside and out, getting it ready for OTR duty, and we hit the road in January '24.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>God is good, and we had an amazing year, even better than we could have dreamed! All the new places and faces we met, and friendships made were incredible!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With the good comes the bad, however, and unfortunately, Q1 2025 was not as lovely. If it could go wrong, it did, and we spent a number of weeks on the sidelines, waiting for various shops to work out problems we couldn't deal with on the road, depleting not only our time but our reserves.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This culminated at the beginning of April when, 6 miles from home and heading to Houston on a beautiful Sunday morning, <strong>Roger VERY unexpectedly decided it was time for a new engine. Yikes.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We found a great, reputable shop in Canon City to haul him to, worked out some preliminary numbers (35k), and using the last of our funds, got the engine project underway.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, projects like these are always a can of worms, and while the shop was in there replacing the engine, they found a number of smallish issues (which only made sense to fix along the way), ballooning our repair bill to almost 60k.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The truck is now done, and it's time to hit the road, and while we've been working 50+ hours a week to keep the money coming in, it simply isn't enough to cover our recurring bills AND put money away to cover this project.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thanks for listening—if you find yourself with a few spare bucks at the end of the week, we'd be eternally grateful for the help. 100% of the funds raised here go directly to the shop.
</div>
<div>You can also pay the shop directly if you'd like, just call Sarvids Heavy Equipment in Cañon City, care of Blacksheep Hauling!

<div>Check out our website <a href="https://www.BlackSheepHauling.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">HERE</a>, get to know us, and drop us a line! Who knows, maybe we'll see you on the road someday and can return the favor!

<div>Have a great day and God Bless!
