Kim's Cancer Treatment Fund

Hello family, friends, and kind strangers,

As some of you may know, I have been dealing with health issues for the past year and a half. Because of this, I have been unable to work and have not had medical insurance. I found out in June that I have a rare form of head and neck cancer.  I had surgery to remove the tumors on June 15th.  

I will be starting radiation treatments in a few weeks. Treatment will go for a minimum of 7 weeks (5 days a week twice a day). I was supposed to be starting radiation today, July 24th. I was required to see a dentist before I started treatment due to my cancer being near my jaw. Turns out I need to have oral surgery to have my wisdom teeth extracted before I can start radiation. If I wait until after radiation to have them taken out, there's a huge risk I could lose my jaw.

Of course this is a huge added expense that we were not expecting. The extractions will need to happen as soon as possible.

(Update: radiation was postponed again due to hurricane Irma. My family and I had to evacuate. My new start date is Sept. 25)

The hospital that has been treating me is two hours away from our home. We've been commuting  more times than I can count over the past year.  Fortunately, the American Cancer Society has a place called The Hope Lodge. Hope Lodge is free housing for cancer patients  undergoing treatment who live far away which is INCREDIBLE!!! I'll have a furnished room but I'm required to supply myself with all my personal needs while I'm there such as toiletries, food, prescriptions, etc, My mom and stepdad have completely exhausted their finances and cut back as much as they could to provide these things as well as all of my medical expenses. They even got rid of one of their cars! I'm so grateful for them!!
Some of you have mentioned that you'd like to help me with these expenses, which is so incredibly sweet!! I figured this would be the best way to facilitate that.
