Mourn With Those Who Mourn
Most of you know Barbara Knoll Workman and her gang of rescued pups. In the past two days she has lost two of them to illnesses beyond her control part of which had a lot to do with age.
In the last couple of months she lost another dog, named Louwee and yesterday she lost Eddy Pie and this morning, she lost Abby, her basset hound.
In trying to cure their illnesses and keep them alive, she and her husband have incurred significant vet charges.
Late this morning, I was approached by a mutual friend about setting up a gofundme.com page to help them catch up these vet bills.
In doing this Barbara was unaware of our plans to try to get some help for her. As such, a mutual friend and I have taken this on to try to help her recover as she is grieving the loss of these three dogs and overwhelmed by the expenses they have acquired trying to keep them alive.
Those of you who know Barbara, know that she has a heart of gold when it comes to caring for her fur babies and making sure they were looked after and seen by professionals.
We can do nothing to take away her unimaginable heartbreak but we can help her by trying to gather together as a Havanese family and contribute to her vet bills which are beyond $3, 000.
To all dog loving friends, whatever small contribution you might be able to assist her with would not only help to alleviate her worries and fears over covering these bills but it would also help us mourn with those who mourn.
All donations made, minus the gofundme fees will go directly to her.
