Axarquia Animal Rescue

AAR is a registered charity dedicated to saving lives and re-homing abused and abandoned animals found in the Axarquia area of Southern Spain. We have experienced first hand the teams amazing work when we rehomed an abandoned dog from Spain. They are a small charity with up to 50 dogs in care at any time and are completely hands on. More over not a penny is spent on admin, staff, offices etc as all the work is done by their team of volunteers from their own homes, mobiles and rented vets and kennel services when required. They rely solely on volunteer foster carers in the area to take in dogs until a life time home is found anywhere in Spain or the surrounding countries including the UK. Donations go on kennel rental and vets bills, transport and dog food, to get dogs in poor situations to a standard to release them to their foster carer.
