Ukrainian Refugees

None of us in Ukraine believed the Russians would invade, especially not beyond the East--but here we are. A Southern California native, I was living and working in Kyiv until hours before the Russians invaded. I caught a bus at 1:00 AM to Warsaw and was still in Ukraine when the Russians began their bombardment. It took me over 22 hours to reach Warsaw. Today that same trip, if you're lucky enough to squeeze onto a bus or train, can take days. I left behind my job, apartment, and most of my belongings, but imagine leaving behind your home, family, and country. This horror is what the refugees from the war on their homeland face today.
I am safe in Warsaw; however, I want to do more for my friends, co-workers, and students. One small way I can contribute is by traveling back to the border to assist the refugees pouring in from Ukraine. I can help by interpreting, buying gas for the Polish people volunteering their cars to transport refugees, and perhaps paying for some housing.
Please help me in this humanitarian effort by contributing whatever you can to my fundraiser. Slava Ukraini
