Mikayla Metzler's Youth With a Mission

Dear Friends and family, thank you for taking the time to read this!
I have come a very long way in my relationship with the Lord. I've learned so many valuable lessons and I am excited to see where the Lord takes me next.  My heart has been pulled towards Mission work for many years - participating in Katrina Relief work in Biloxi, MississippiI and serving the Lord while working
at the Goshen Mission House located in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic.

In response to this calling, I am leaving in September to join the Youth with Mission (YWAM) Ember Ink program in San Jose, California and will be gone for 6 amazing months. What they do is train young adults to share and spread God's word both within the United States and Internationally. The first 3 months I will be going through intensive training with lectures, practice, and serving around the city. I will also be helping with an organization started by Ember Ink called Youth Street which is helping kids stay off the streets and teaching them about love and sharing the gospel with them.  We will even be taking a week to go Camping in Yosemite embracing Gods beauty. Just the group and Gods Creations. After those 3 months are up I will either be sent to either Brazil or South Africa where we will put all we've learned into action and begin serving the Lord in the field!
