Mong Sukthavy went in for an emergency surgery in April of this year where it was discovered that cancerous cells had developed in his colon. Following the surgery, it appeared that the cancer cells had been successfully removed. However, he was informed at a follow up appointment in May that the cancer had not only returned, but had also spread to his lymph nodes and other vital organs. He has just begun an aggressive 28 week chemotherapy treatment and has a dificult road ahead. This page was set up to help reduce the tremendous financial burden Mong faces in the coming months and allow him to dedicate 100% of his energy towards fighting cancer.
