Megan's Medical Fund

Megan is 17 years old and was in a roll over car accident with her family. The rest of her family walked away with minor injuries, but Meg was ejected from the car. Surgery went as good as could be expected. She has a plate on her upper arm bone, a plate on one of her lower arm bones. Her fibia and tibia bones near the ankle have pins and will need more surgery. All of of those were compound fractures and on her left side. The vertebrae that were broken were not fused and they are watching that to hopefully heal on their own. Her hip bone was not displaced so it will hopefully heal well. Some ribs were broken but not displaced. The x-rays looked great after surgery and the orthopedic surgeon was awesome and very hopeful that she will make a full recovery. There is some small head trauma and she is responding in positive ways. Her lung was deeply bruised but there does not seem to be internal bleeding and her vital signs are good. The great news is that she is alive. She has a long road ahead of her with surgeries and physical therapy, but she is expected to make a full recovery! 

Megan is a sweet, tough, fun-loving girl.  We are hoping to raise money for her family to help cover the medical expenses. We would be so grateful for any donations.
