AWOS Station for Wolf Lake Airport

Hello Neighbors, we are raising funds to purchase a
non-certified AWOS for the Wolf Lake Airport
( Alaska) Community.

This station is in memoriam for our dear friend and mentor
Mike Pannone, who selflessly donated his time and energy
to both the Wolf Lake community, and the Alaska aviation
community for many years.

The AWOS system is from SayWeather, and includes
their base AWOS system plus the "Visibility with
Present Weather" upgrade.

The initial plan is to use the Texaco sign near the
fuel station for placement.

Sky Airparts has a fiberoptic high speed connection
to their building, so that will be used to connect the
AWOS station to the internet for Foreflight updates.

Steppers Construction will handle installation and
upkeep of the equipment.

Pannone Engineering Services is donating their time
for evaluating the what is needed for installation and placement.
